Urgent Warning Issued Over ‘Donald Trump’ Ecstasy Pills

A ‘Red Alert’ was issued for pills shaped like President Donald Trump’s head.

A Dutch addiction and mental health institute that tests pills for users to prevent overdoses issued a “Red Alert” for “ecstasy” pills shaped like President Donald Trump’s head. The pills are actually not even ecstasy—they contain a chemical called para-methoxymethamfetamine, or PMMA for short, while ecstasy’s active ingredient is MDMA. PMMA takes longer, which the institute said could cause people to double up, thinking it didn’t work. That potential mistake would lead to overheating or even death, according to an Instagram post by the Trimbos Institute. Ecstasy is illegal in the Netherlands, but that doesn’t stop club and music festival-goers. Although a 2024 government report said 550,000 people took the drug in one year, there have been no PMMA-related deaths so far.
