Here’s Donald Trump’s Hopey, Changey New Year’s Resolutions

The president-elect is crossing his fingers for America’s sake.

Ahead of attending New Year’s Eve festivities at Mar-a-Lago last night, President-elect Donald Trump spoke with a gaggle of reporters on the event’s red carpet. He offered a word salad’s worth of insight to Newsmax on his plans for 2025 once he’s back at it again with the White House—“We’re just going to have a great nation again... we’re going to bring it back at a level that a lot of people didn’t think was really possible,” he said. “They really want to see something happen and we’re going to give that to them. We’re doing a job, a real job”—before sharing his pageant-worthy personal New Year’s resolution: “I just want everybody to be healthy, happy and well.” With an answer also straight out of the Miss Slovenia finals, his wife Melania, meanwhile, wished again for world peace. (She has expressed the same sentiment on multiple occasions over the years—to no avail.)
