Trump Admits Barron’s Skills Lie Outside Business and Politics
The comments came on the eve of the first son’s birthday.
President Donald Trump has predicted his teenage son, who has been studying at NYU’s Stern School of Business since the fall, is headed for a career outside the realms of his father’s expertise.
Appearing alongside host Laura Ingraham in the second part of a Fox News interview on Wednesday night, Trump said his son Barron is an expert in the field of technology.
“Is Barron’s aptitude in your view business or politics?” Ingraham asked of Trump’s youngest son, who is 6-foot-8.
“Maybe technology,” the president replied, providing an anecdote of an interaction with his son, who is studying business at NYU.
“He can look at a computer... I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back about five minutes later, he’s got his laptop, I say, ‘How do you do that?’”

Trump claimed Barron’s response is simple: “None of your business, dad.”
Trump added that the college freshman has an “unbelievable aptitude in technology.”
Barron is celebrating his 19th birthday on Thursday and may even receive a visit from his dad as NYU wraps its last day of classes before spring break.

Barron has kept a low profile at NYU, TMZ reported in December after interviewing students, with one claiming, “he hardly exists.” His penchant for video games has apparently helped him make friends, however, the outlet reported.
Another insider told People at the time that Barron is “popular with the ladies.”
“He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way,” the source said. “He’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies. He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”
Earlier this year, the head of the College Republican club at NYU resigned after copping backlash for describing Barron as “an oddity on campus.”
“He’s sort of like an oddity on campus,” she told Vanity Fair of her classmate. “He goes to class, he goes home.”
