‘Survivor’ Fans Melt Down Over Yet Another Trump Interruption

The show’s devoted fanbase is up in arms over the president’s expected interruption of the Wednesday night broadcast.

Survivor fans are unhappy with Donald Trump—again.

Loyal viewers of the iconic reality show are fuming at the 79-year-old president over his interruption of Wednesday night’s broadcast for yet another national address, which comes just three months after he stole the spotlight from the previous season’s finale.

‘Survivor’ Fans Upset Trump’s Address Will Interrupt Finale

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that Trump would address the nation “to provide an important update on Iran” at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday—the same time slot as Survivor 50.

The announcement sent the show’s devoted fanbase into a tailspin.

Survivor 50 became CBS’s most-watched Wednesday since 2022 when it premiered in February, drawing about five million viewers. The latest season premiere also generated the most social media buzz in the show’s history, garnering 3.5 million views and more than 560,000 engagements online.

“Why does he need to break into my TV time when he can walk into the press room right now and say what needs to be said,” one viewer wrote on X. “I want to watch Survivor, not the Trump clown show.”

“Now he just wants to piss off Survivor fans I guess? I don’t watch that show, but I’d rather watch paint dry, than another 20 minutes of Trump!” another said.

“This is only acceptable if that orange s–t bag resigns and is immediately arrested during the telecast,” one user quipped.

Two other viewers said they would “lose [their] mind” if Trump’s address interrupted the show and said they’ve had “enough,” eliciting hundreds of likes.

Other viewers have yet to forgive Trump for cutting into the highly anticipated season 49 finale in December. The president used his fast-talking address for a year-end celebration of his administration’s supposed wins.

“We’re putting America first and we are making America great again,” he said in an 18-minute speech. “We are respected again like we have never been respected before.”

Wednesday night’s address, however, is likely to take on a darker tone than his previous holiday-themed speech. Since the U.S. and Israel waged war in the Middle East in February, the conflict has killed at least 13 American service members and more than a thousand people in Iran.

“What if reality TV is the only escape and now the escape got hijacked,” one Survivor viewer pondered.

When reached for comment on the uproar, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle merely reiterated Leavitt’s earlier announcement.

“TUNE IN: Tonight at 9PM ET, President Trump will give an Address to the Nation to provide an important update on Iran,” he said.

CBS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
