Rudy Giuliani ‘Seriously Injured’ in Car Crash

The former prosecutor pulled over after being flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence, his rep said.

Rudy Giuliani is on the mend.

The disgraced former New York City mayor and one-time personal attorney to President Donald Trump was seriously injured in a car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday night, his spokesperson told the New York Post.

Giuliani, 81, fractured a thoracic vertebra and sustained multiple cuts and bruises, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg, when the parked rental car he was traveling in was rear-ended at high speed.

The former prosecutor and politician pulled over after being flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence, and had called 911 before being struck as he was re-entering his vehicle, according to Giuliani’s head of security, Michael Ragusa.

New Hampshire State Police said Giuliani was a passenger in a Ford Bronco when the accident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Giuilani, who was mayor from 1994 through 2001, is reportedly in “good spirits and recovering tremendously,“ according to Ragusa.

“He’s a beast. He survived 9/11,” Ragusa told the Post.

Giuilani, who was found guilty of defaming two former election workers in Georgia and was disbarred in New York and Washington, will remain in the Manchester, New Hampshire-area hospital for another two or three days and then wear a brace for the broken vertebrae.

On Sunday, Guiliani’s son Andrew took to X to thank everyone who had reached out after hearing about his father’s accident. “Your prayers mean the world,” Andrew wrote. “As a son, I can tell you I’m honored to have a Dad that I can call the toughest SOB I’ve ever seen!”

Shortly after Andrew’s post, Rudy posted his own thank you to X, praising the “board-certified nurse practitioner overseeing the care of America’s Mayor.”

After some social media users began speculating about the incident, Ragusa took to X again, writing: “This was not a targeted attack. We ask everyone to respect Mayor Giuliani’s privacy and recovery, and refrain from spreading unfounded conspiracy theories.”
