Elon Musk Welcomes 14th Known Child: Seldon Lycurgus

The bouncing baby boy is Musk’s fourth child with Neuralink exec Shivon Zilis.

Shivon Zilis, the Neuralink executive who already has three children with Elon Musk, took to the billionaire’s preferred social media platform on Friday to announce that the pair had welcomed a fourth child into the world: Seldon Lycurgus.

Seldon is Musk’s 14th child and fourth with Zilis, following the births of twins Strider and Azure in 2021 and Arcadia, who was born in February 2024. Prior to Zilis’ birthday post for Arcadia, made on the same day as her announcement, the child’s birthday and name were unknown to the public.

The announcement comes mere weeks after MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair took to X to claim that she, too, had a child with Musk—his 13th—last year, but had been struggling to communicate with him about issues around custody. Where Musk has opted to avoid interacting with St. Clair in public, he responded directly to Zilis’ announcement, sending a simple heart emoji in response.

St. Clair, who has had such difficulties receiving a response from Musk that she took to X to contact him publicly, has claimed that Musk admitted to being the father of her child in a series of salacious text messages, one of which read, “I want to knock you up again.”

She has also characterized him as an absent father who has only met their child three times and was not present for the birth. She is now suing him for sole custody.

Zilis has worked at three companies with ties to Musk—OpenAI, which he cofounded; Neuralink, which he founded; and Tesla, which he assumed leadership of in 2008. She reportedly met Musk in 2016 during her time at OpenAI before going on to join Tesla as a project director in 2017, and later Neuralink as their director of operations.

In contrast with Grimes, the mother of three of Musk’s other children—who rarely posts photos of her children on social media and has previously pleaded with Musk to respect their son’s privacy and stop using him for photo ops—Zilis’ X account is full of photos of her two eldest children with Musk, twins Azure and Strider. Zilis has not yet posted any photos of Arcadia or Seldon, and Musk has yet to bring either to any appearances at the White House.
