We Found Michelle Obama’s SXSW Jewelry Stack—and It’s Surprisingly Affordable

Michelle Obama wore stackable silver rings, so we got stackable silver rings. Or, at least, sleuthed to find out where her pieces were from. On March 13, 2025, the former first lady and her new podcast co-host and brother Craig Robinson stopped by South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX, to do a live taping of their new podcast titled IMO or “in my opinion.”

The new podcast touches on subjects Obama is used to discussing, like inspiration, life hacks, career advice, and so much more. During the SXSW conference appearance, the former first lady even discussed the nasty rumors about her and her husband’s marriage that have been swirling around the internet. Spoiler alert: she doesn’t pay attention to the haters.

As Obama graced the stage, she looked comfortable and chic in a clay-colored denim set by Rabanne. She polished off the look with a number of pieces from local Austin jewelry brand Kendra Scott—and some of the items may be more affordable than you think.

First, she wore lab-grown drop diamond earrings that retail for nearly $9,000. Although this is definitely a splurge, the diamonds are much more affordable than they would be if they were naturally mined.
