Meet the MAHA Moms Who Can’t Get Enough of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Seated behind the Kennedy scion in the audience at Kennedy’s Senate hearing Wednesday were a number of his highest-profile supporters: the MAHA moms.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. arrived at his confirmation hearing to lead the Department of Health and Human Services ready for battle—and wasted no time rallying a demographic that has been among his most loyal soldiers.

“To the members of this committee, to the president, and to all the tens of millions of parents across America—especially the moms—who have propelled this issue to center stage,” Kennedy said in his opening remarks Wednesday, “should I be so privileged as to be confirmed, we will make sure our tax dollars support healthy foods.”

Paying respect to America’s mothers wasn’t just a throwaway remark on Kennedy’s part. “Make America Healthy Again,” the Cabinet nominee’s twist on Donald Trump‘s infamous slogan, has become a rallying cry for a specific strain of health-conscious moms across the country, united in their disdain for Red No. 40, seed oils, and microplastics.

The highest-profile MAHA moms—an assortment of health bloggers, media pundits, and celebrities—have earned close access to Kennedy. A number of them were even able to savor his shout-out in person.

Here are the key RFK Jr.-loving MAHA moms who trekked to Washington, D.C. to offer their faithtful support at his confirmation hearing.

Jessica Reed Kraus

One-time “mommyblogger” Jessica Reed Kraus, who emerged as a pseudo political reporter and right-wing media darling during Trump’s campaign, documented her up-close view of Kennedy’s confirmation for her Instagram following of over 1.3 million.

As author of the Substack “House Inhabit,” Reed Kraus shares her vaccine skepticism, celebrity gossip, and glowing coverage of Kennedy and Trump to an audience of about 400,000.

The latter has brought her close to Kennedy, who is all over Reed Kraus’s Instagram. She followed him on the campaign trail while he was a long-shot Independent candidate for president. She also tags along on Kennedy’s outdoorsy outings—taking part in hikes, falconry, and a boat trip.

Cheryl Hines

Seated visibly behind RFK Jr. at his confirmation hearing was his wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines. Despite Kennedy’s bombshell sexting scandal with political reporter Olivia Nuzzi, which broke in September, Hines has continued to stand by her husband. (In the weeks that followed the revelation, there were reports that Hines was considering divorce.)

Since her husband was tapped by Trump, Hines has embraced the MAHA movement—even going so far as to use the label to hawk soy candles produced by her lifestyle company, Hines + Young. The marketing campaign for that effort included a bizarre video of RFK Jr. half naked.

If there was any question of Hines’s dedication to her husband, NBC News reported last week that she has agreed to shut down sales of her company’s inventory if Kennedy is confirmed.

Megyn Kelly

Alongside Hines at the hearing was outspoken right-wing media pundit Megyn Kelly. The former Fox News host, who is a mother of three, has made no secret of her support for Trump—and the fealty seems to extend to his Cabinet picks.

In a Tuesday video revealing to the audience of her YouTube show that she would be in attendance at the hearing, she credited her March 2022 interview with Kennedy as a key reason he became Trump’s nominee at all.

“I would like to take a peek at what they do to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,” Kelly said. “I feel like this show and he have somewhat of a special relationship, since I think even he would tell you: He probably wouldn’t be there this week if it weren’t for the four hours we did with him.”

Marla Maples

Donald Trump’s second wife (and the mother of Tiffany Trump), television personality Martha Maples, was also at the hearing, appearing in an Instagram story posted by Reed Kraus.

During the COVID pandemic, Maples reshared a conspiracy theory posted to Instagram by RFK Jr.—seemingly suggesting that billionaire Bill Gates was somehow using COVID vaccines to implant tracking devices in people.

Maples, who moonlights as a wellness influencer, also pushed Vitamin C IV drips and morning prayer as defenses against the virus.

She appears to be personally close with Kennedy, posing alongside him and Hines while celebrating her ex-husband’s 2024 election victory at Mar-a-Lago.

Vani Hari

Rounding out Kennedy’s entourage of MAHA moms was author-activist-influencer Vani Hari, also known by her Instagram handle “The Food Babe.”

Hari, who rails against additives and ultraprocessed foods, has been accused by critics of spreading food pseudoscience.

She told the Atlantic in 2015 that “there is just no acceptable level of chemical to ingest, ever,” perhaps overlooking dihydrogen monoxide.

She brought her daughter along for the visit to Capitol Hill, as documented on her Instagram.

“Taking her on a trip of a lifetime and to watch first hand what it takes to stand up to corruption,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Washington, DC her we come.”
