Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, finished testifying before the House Jan. 6 Select Committee on Thursday afternoon, her attorney said. “She was happy to cooperate with the Committee to clear up the misconceptions about her activities surrounding the 2020 elections,” Mark Paoletta said in a statement. “She answered all the Committee’s questions.” The committee wanted to talk to Thomas about her communications with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, conservative attorney John Eastman and a number of Arizona lawmakers about her belief that the 2020 election could be overturned in former President Donald Trump’s favor. She declined to answer CNN’s questions as she headed into the four-hour meeting. Thomas had repeatedly insisted she was eager to speak with the committee, but Paoletta emphasized that Thomas had conducted only “minimal and mainstream activity” in the wake of the election.
