Joe Rogan Rails Against ‘Dirty’ Healthcare Biz After CEO Killing

The popular podcaster appeared to defend shooter Luigi Mangione as one of many Americans who got “f---ed over” by the insurance industry.

Joe Rogan seemed to side with suspected assassin Luigi Mangione on his podcast Tuesday, when he slammed the “f---ing gross” healthcare industry and agreed with his guest that nobody was “going to be crying too hard over” UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s death.

“Maybe his family [would mourn Thompson], but that’s about it,” Rogan said on the show, where he was hosting Quentin Tarantino and his Pulp Fiction writing partner Roger Avary. “It’s a dirty, dirty business,” Rogan continued, “The business of insurance is f---ing gross. It’s gross. Especially healthcare insurance.”

Rogan added that UnitedHealthcare in particular “is really bad at denying claims,” seemingly justifying Thompson’s alleged killing since the suspect was “someone who got f---ed over.”

Thompson was 50 years old when he was fatally shot in front of a Manhattan hotel on Dec. 4. He’d been set to speak at an investor meeting that day. Thompson left behind a wife and two children.

Mangione was taken into custody on Monday in Altoona, Pennsylvania on suspicion of the crime after five days on the run. According to police, he was discovered with a weapon, fake ID, and a handwritten manifesto on his person. He was denied bail in the state, but contested his extradition to New York.

Rogan’s comments come after a slew of internet support for Mangione, who social media users have affectionately memed ad nauseam in solidarity with his alleged mission to bring justice to the American healthcare system with the killing.
