Ford and Huckberry Team Up to Launch a Vintage-Inspired Workwear Collection

Sometimes, you just have to get under the hood and do it yourself. That’s the idea behind the new Huckberry x Ford workwear collection, which arrives just in time for long days in the garage and cold beers in the cool summer evenings afterwards.

The limited-edition collaboration (fitted with the tagline “The best never rest”) blends Huckberry’s keen eye for heritage Americana style with Ford’s authentic, all-American logo, auto-inspired details, and a personal Huckberry touch.

The collection crisscrosses all sorts of casually rugged wearing occasions, from classic graphic tees to sturdy cotton twill shop shorts (a personal favorite) and, of course, a lineup of durable logo trucker hats that harken back to decades past.

If you yearn to wear the sort of hard-working, hard-wearing staples your father and grandfather wore in the garage, this collection has precisely what you need for summer. Huckberry and Ford even went in on a durable cotton canvas mechanic jacket, finished off with a corduroy collar—again, just like pops himself might have worn back in the day.

In an unlikely turn of events, the collaboration owes a debt of gratitude to Huckberry hardgoods buyer Cody Westbrook, as noted in the Huckberry Journal.

As luck and fate would have it, Westbrook stumbled upon his grandpa’s old-school Ford F-150 in a South Carolina auto body shop after moving back to his hometown. Westbrook grew up “riding shotgun,” as Huckberry notes, and the truck is an indelible part of his family’s lore.

The truck required some restoration and T.L.C., sure, but Westbrook himself was able to get behind the wheel and take it for a spin. Made even better is the fact that Westbrook and his young family live in a house on the family “compound,” now a Black Angus cattle farm.

It’s the sort of story that dovetails nicely with Huckberry x Ford’s handsome, rugged, and functional collaboration: Westbrook and Huckberry even put the gear to the test in a photoshoot featuring Westbrook’s grandfather’s truck.

There’s a good chance the truck will stick around for years to come, as will pieces from the Huckberry x Ford collection: Huckberry took its famed Flint and Tinder 10-Year Hoodie and turned it into a co-branded logo hoodie ideal for wearing around a roaring bonfire as a cool summer breeze winds its way toward your campsite.
