Angry Grimes Goes After Musk for Using Their Son as a Prop in Oval Office Press Conference
“He should not be in public like this,” she wrote on X.
The mother of Elon Musk’s 4-year-old son criticized his inclusion in an Oval Office press conference Tuesday with his father and Donald Trump.
Musician Grimes, who shares three children with her former partner Musk, wrote on X in response to a post about how polite their son appeared: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
The 4-year-old was seen at various points mimicking his father, picking his nose, and whispering to Trump.

Musk previously brought along his son to Trump’s inauguration, as well as an election night broadcast.
During his exchange with reporters, Musk admitted making the false claim that the Trump administration had “identified and stopped $50 million being sent to Gaza to buy condoms for Hamas.”
“Some of the things that I say will be incorrect and should be corrected,” Musk said, nearly two weeks after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the unsubstantiated allegation that many right-wingers ran with.
“Nobody’s gonna bat a thousand. We will make mistakes, but we will act quickly to correct any mistakes.”
