George Conway Warns DOJ on ‘Edge of a Full-Scale Revolt’
The conservative lawyer said the effort to drop corruption charges against beleaguered New York City Mayor Eric Adams may have been a step too far.

Conservative lawyer and anti-MAGA activist George Conway took to MSNBC on Saturday morning to alert viewers that President Donald Trump’s interference with the judicial process has pushed the nation’s prosecutors to the brink of mutiny.
“We’re seeing a Justice Department, including the FBI, that is on the edge of a full-scale revolt,” Conway said.
Conway’s former wife, Kellyanne Conway, served as an adviser to Trump during his first term. The couple’s opposing views attracted considerable media attention and led the couple to divorce in 2023.
Conway’s comments come after a slew of resignations at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice, which stem from Trump’s instruction to dismiss corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. In exchange, Adams has pledged his assistance in executing the president’s anti-immigration agenda.
Speaking with the hosts of The Weekend, Conway said prosecutors had been “asked to do things that are just contrary to what their obligations to the nation are, and their ethical obligations as lawyers.”
Seven DOJ officials have now resigned, penning blistering letters condemning undue political interference with the judicial process.
Conway described the letters as “extraordinary“: [They are] basically just saying, ‘You are asking us to make a baseless motion to dismiss this case for reasons that have nothing to do with its merits but everything to do with politics.’”
“That is just not the role of a federal prosecutor,” he added.
