Marisa Fox

Marisa Fox is a New York-based freelance writer and filmmaker, who received a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for her upcoming documentary, My Underground Mother, which delves into her mother’s secret past as a survivor of Nazi-run women’s slave labor. Her features and editorials have appeared in The New York Times, Ms., Elle, Health, Huffington Post, the Forward, CNN and Ha’aretz, where she was a U.S. correspondent. She is also a “She Source” on gender and genocide at the Ms. Foundation’s Women’s Media Center.
