Rihanna: 'It Can Happen to Anyone'
Singer Rihanna, whose romance with fellow musician Chris Brown came to a crushing public conclusion when he beat her up on the eve of the Grammy Awards, is speaking out for the first time in nine months. In an interview airing Thursday on Good Morning America and Friday on 20/20, the 21-year-old tells Diane Sawyer: "This happened to me… It can happen to anyone.” It was hard to move on, Rihanna adds, because "he was definitely my first big love." Brown is currently serving his sentence and working on new music—his album Graffiti is due for a Dec 15 release—while Rihanna's new album Rated R drops Nov 23.

when will Obama make Chris brown the Czar of domestic violence? its the same as Timmy boy running the IRS isn't it?
timmy boy doesn't run the irs .
Buy a clue. Timothy Geithner is most definitely in charge of the IRS
Shulman is the Commissioner of Internal Revenue.
The IRS is overseen by the Treasury
And Geithner is the sec of Treasury.
So by the transitive property...
I don't know what Chris Brown has to do with politics though.
You have deep seated emotional issues.
It can only happen to someone with such low self esteem that they allow themselves to be treated that way.
Not necessarily. Abusers systematically grind down their victim's self-esteem, slowly, little -by-little, over a long period of time. The victim doesn't always realize they have been lured into a trap. And by then the victim erroneously believes (as do you) that it is their own fault.
Anyone with a proper self image would recognize immediately when they are being treated badly and act accordingly.
Anyone who accepts the first bit of abuse, whether verbal or physical, already has low self esteem.
You are incorrect in thinking the victim does not enable the abuser.
You have to give someone the power to abuse you.
Now a child who is abused from birth is a different story but I don't think that is the case with Rhinanna.
wow !!!!!!! talk about clueless sonofloud, your so far out there you may never get back.
Its surprising the things people will put up with when they are in "love."
We are vulnerable at some point in our life, and that is why it could happen to anyone.
I at one point in my life was involved in an abusive relationship. I know the signs and am able to make better choices. Therefore my self-esteem is very high. I won't let anyone try to belittle me whether it is in a relationship or friendships. People can change overtime. I think this situation will help her grow and be stronger. Her self-esteem is probably a lot higher now that she can see herself without him.
Thank you.
